Hello everyone. My name is Joey and I currently live in South Carolina. Prior to that I lived in Houston, Texas and on Lon Gisland (I did that purposely) in New York. I found this site on Google while I was trying to figure out what the terms AE1 - AE4 meant. I mainly purchase silver eagles as bullion and I collect ancient uncleaned coins as a hobby.
I figure, instead of just introducing myself, I will also see if anyone can answer these fun non-coin related questions.
1. There is only one universal word in the entire world. That means the word is stated the same way from country to country, regardless of the language people speak. What is that word? So if the word is cat in America. The Japanese will still say the word cat. It will still have the same meaning regardless of what country you are in.
2. I lived inside an airplane for two weeks. How is that possible?
I will give the answers tomorrow. Also, I have been on here for a few days and I wish to thank all the great members who welcomed me even before I wrote this post.
2) You were in the TV series Lost, but unfortunately you were one of the passengers who died during the first plane crash and whose corpse remained onboard for several years.
I was going to say the word is "No." but then it came to me that the Russian "nyet" and German "nein" killed that theory. Though I do believe "no" may be universally understood.
So my guess is, "supercalifragilisticexpialadocius." I don't believe any people in any other language or country would say this differently. I also believe there are very few (if any) places left in this world where this word would not be recognized.
As to how you live in an airplane that long... you are a relative of Red Lane:
Joseph...You got the first one right. Taxi is the only universal word in the entire world. Whether you say taxi in India, Japan, America, Iceland or Sudan, it means the same thing and is pronouce the same way.
My family, along with about 150 passengers and crew, were held hostage on one of the longest hijackings in aviation history. All of us lived in that sardine can for two weeks. Luckily, the hijackers allowed food to be delivered to the plane. Unfortunately, they did not allow anyone to clean the bathrooms.
