I was fortunate enough to buy this note over the weekend and wanted to share it with everyone. It is raw but appears fully CU to me under the light. Both large and small notes from the Chase are among the most common NBNs around. The census shows umpty-dozens of Type 1 $10s in CU alone! But the $20 is quite a different story - I have not seen recent data, but the last Kelly census showed this and the A1A note as the only #1 serials out there. (Member input welcome.) Thoughts appreciated as always. Edited by Coinfrog 09/21/2016 5:36 pm

Most likely, the number 1 C, D, E and F notes are out there in old time collections and just haven't turned up in the census yet.
I believe we can thank the late Col Green for supplying us with many of the numerous number one notes that were saved in sheet form and then cut up for us to enjoy!
The last number 1 note I had was from Plano, Texas. Right now, the best I can do is a number 2 note from Big Springs, Texas.
Yours is a great note....I hope you enjoy it for many years to come!

Coinfrog...Very nice and the #1 serial number is awesome. Are you going to send it to PMG?

Thanks everyone. Surprised this hasn't been holdered by now, but yes, I'll send it to PMG.
justind - I personally didn't expect to get it and was just trying to keep the bidding going (I figured a price of well over $2K). As it was, my bid was the last full increment - the next full $25 would have won it for someone else.

I'm happy you got it Frog, and jealous at the same time.
A serial #1 note, a solid serial, and a full up or down ladder are on my bucket list.....might as well throw in a double denomination error note as well.

But I like to watch that sellers listing, they sure get some amazing notes! Congrats again on the win!

Coinfrog; Assuming you got it on ebay, would you mind saying which seller it was? I watch and buy from one gentleman that Always has "true auctions". He always has top notch items. That is a cool note, that I'm sure your proud to own.
