Whats with the surge in fake Chinese Morgans, Trade and Seated dollars on E-bay. I keep reporting them but nothing stops. Plenty of dumb bidders buying this crap up all day long. Seller always has zero feedback. Changes name constantly. This needs to stop. Edited by elcheapo 11/16/2016 02:40 am

It is a growing problem. We can only hope the buyers will learn.

Using ebay's "report listing" feature for counterfeit coins is ineffective (as you have discovered). Posting here in the counterfeit forum, then when bobby forwards the report to an inside contact at ebay has proven to be effective. Now, posting here takes more than "this is a Chinese fake". Here's a link to the US counterfeit forum http://goccf.com/f/160

Where I see them most is if you look in the Medieval section of coins. Most of that section seems to be the Chinese fakes.

Thanks for the welcome all. As coin forums go this site is my favorite. As for these counterfeits there easy for me to spot but still the amount of buyers get that bargain fever blindness. I'm looking at ebay today and not seeing any fakes. not even any 2 headed 1895 trick coins. E-bay closed the door and stopped the flies coming in.

China must be pumping them out before the Pacific oceanic wall goes up

Kidding aside, this is a very serious problem.

I agree Coinfrog. These knockoffs get passed around and collectors get burned. E-bay has a good guarantee policy granted but should police unscrupulous sellers. Best to check sellers feedback, look for shipping time, overall look of coin and compare. A great deal isn't a sure deal. Would like to know if anyone here got burned from these trinkets.
