I now have a smart phone. I will withhold my opinion abou having a pocket device that is smarter than I am. I have found out that I can use my personal pictures for the wallpaper or whatever the background is called. I want to put a picture of a single coin on there and I can't decide which one to do. So now I turn to my friends on CCF and I ask you which coin picture should I use? I own every type of modern US coin plus a few of the classics, I also have a few ancient Chinese coins. I will go with what ever get suggested most (I would appreciate suggestions for the year and mm also). If someone has a really nice picture of a favorite coin that you want to share with me I will consider that also. I will cut off the voting on December 16th. Thank you all

I think you are overthinking this, take one and put it one, then in a week or so change it around, it only takes a few seconds. Heck I even think there is an app or an option to scroll through your pictures so each time it is different.

I think you should consider a photo of a bunny or a puppy.

Every time you use that phone is public you run the risk of announcing that you have a coin collection at home. It may not be a big risk but why take any chances?

Okay, maybe not a bunny or a puppy... how about the flag?

A photo of the CCF metal . No one but another member will know what it stands for . You don't have to worry about advertising that you collect coins .

I prefer not to spend too much time on my phone and what is on the background is pretty much irrelevant to Me.
If I did want a coin related wallpaper however I would choose a Montage of many different coins and not just one type

Whatever wallpaper you choose, keep in mind much of the image will be obscured by app icons. I've found Hubble and JPL images work well. But if I were to use a coin, I'd probably crop its image so it fills up the screen. Something like:

Which-One-Should-I-Pick?

Obviously too small to use as wallpaper, but you get the idea.

I would probably rotate them.
I would get tired of looking at the same one day after day.

I never even thought about what the background looks like on my phone. How about a gun?

Times up! Now to count the votes. This is a rather small group to go on but some very interesting suggestions. First let me explain about my phone. This is a phone my company has given me to use while at work. I work by myself in an office, so even though I can use it for personal reasons I don't and since I work on my own nobody sees this phone.

So here are the results:

A bunny or a puppy, the flag, a gun.

While these are intriguing suggestions, they are not coin related. Maybe if I can find a picture of a bunny and a puppy dressed as Rambo with guns and holding a flag then I would go for it......NOT!

CCF token; while this is a good suggestion, I don't have one and I don't have a picture of one. Besides I'm not really a token guy.

Various other or random suggestions; while these would make good backgrounds there are not enough votes for the same thing. GR58, what happened to you?

So that means one thing.

The Ike's have it! And here is the picture I am using

Which-One-Should-I-Pick?

That isn't a scratch, it is a hair.
