I've just acquired one and I'm wondering if it is hard to find normally?

Does it have a mint mark? What shape is it in?

Pics would help.

I would make sure to treat it well no matter what the answers are.

That was my question: Which country? US Lincoln Cent 1924-D is a semi-key. Value depends (as always) on condition) but a Fine-12 somewhere in the $30-40 in the right market.

As this is the Canadian Coin Forum, I would assume that it is a Canadian cent without a mint mark.
And yes, it is a semi-key date so I would keep it.

Yes, it is a Canadian cent. Thanks for the input. My husband picked up a mixed bag of pennies for a dollar at our local pawnshop ( closest thing to a coin shop around here, sadly) and I was surprised to see it. Will try to get some pictures later today.

Seeing as how that's my Dad's birth year, it wouldn't matter to me what country it was from...

Take care of it, it's a bit scarcer than normal and priced accordingly.

Mintage of 1,593,195 pcs so not real rare but I would say semi-key along with the 22, 23,& 25 - the 26 has a little over 2 million minted.
