It looks good but I wouldn't want to bid on it. The low price alone would make me wary of it. Reminds me of the people buying fake gold bars of off ebay below spot because they think they are getting a good deal. Seller already has a negative for selling a fake and there may be more we don't know of. Also there have been some very good counterfeits coming out of Europe that have even fooled the experts. There was an earlier thread on this very subject but I can't seem to find it.

Honestly looking at the other coins and and the feedback it looks like the same types of coins, higher quality fakes. Just like Jimmy I wouldn't have went for it as it seems very suspicious even though I can't see anything off but I'm not an expert. The thread Jimmy is referring to is http://goccf.com/t/271671

Thanks for the replies. If this coin is fake it's a really good one. It looks to be silver and it looks to have lustre and the detail looks convincing. But after reading the thread supplied by Talonbat, I'm scratching my head.

This is a well done new generation counterfeit. It is absuluetly 100% counterfeit and I say that with confidence.

Looks pretty convincing to me, even if it is fake.

Honestly I'm struggling to see markers on this specific coin. The fact that its grouped with the exact same usual high quality fakes is what makes me about 99% sure it's fake. What are the chances that all these people each have various rare high grade coins from the exact same years within barely over 100 coins. I mean as an example there is like a mintage of 1020 1881 50 centavos from Argentina and I'm assuming not all of them survived but these guys always have a raw one. These fakes are so good I feel like if you just walked around with it in your pocket for awhile it would be near impossible to tell from the natural wear. I'd love to know if you've got some markers for the Canadian coins Alan.

Because many of the other world coins they sold are counterfeits, incl off metal early 1900 Chinese dollars, old Chinese full broackages, that are flooding the market. The exact same counterfeits the other seller from who also happens to be from Spain was selling in the other thread, where the high end cdn counterfeits were bought by a member here. I'm looking for the next gen counterfeit quarter obverse for a marker int the old thread to find a matching abrasion on the obverse. We found abrasions in the exact same spots on obverse from different years. I may not have provided enough evidence to convince, But I will say again I am confident this isn't right. It has the same very freshly struck look to it like the others.

I tend to agree - something is amiss here. That would normally be a $1500 coin... The seller has legit low-end stuff, interspersed with rarities at high grades...
The scary question is... would ICCS or CCCS be fooled by this one as well? I would be curious to see if it would XRF at .800 silver.

When you click on the original offering, it says that he has relisted an item similar to this.

The vertical beads is what I notice. When poorly struck they appear flattened but round at least. OP coin (right) they look square. I'm no expert, just what I see. Could be the image.
