Apparently it's a Apollo 11 moon landing commemorative coin from 1969... or so says the examples on the bay... just find it an interesting coin! *** Moved by Staff to a more appropriate forum. ***

That is a cool token. A;though obviously a coin made for fun, it reminds me of this "serious(?)" one ...yes, I had to have one for how odd it is. I still look at it and think...really? Oh...not about the reason it was made, but the design. Why a triangle? Why the transparent covering integrated into the REV? Why that specific blue (it is blue-ish in hand)? Now I need to find one like yours.

I thought this was funny and found a listing with two! So now I got moon money too. LOL I wonder who made them and why besides the hoopla of the landing? I remember where I was at the time I watched them land, do you? I hope they are from 1969.

Interesting exonumia. Pity it is not made of green cheese.

Found some more interesting tokens... Let me know if closeups are warranted. I tried to flip them over in their same places as the first picture so the reverse and obverse of the coins match...
