Hi all, trying to decide which modern silver commemorative dollar to place into the 7070 album. Wanted to see if anyone had any opinions based on the following criteria/situations: - "Overall America" themed (I know they all are, but one that would depict overall America if shown to someone from another country) - I don't really have too much of a preference on design already - May be leaning towards some "diversity" in my album and already have Statue of Liberty half dollar/buffalo nickels The buffalo dollar my LCS has is quite nice but the price is definitely a put off for me as this is supposed to be one of the "cheaper" holes in my album to fill. Looking forward to any opinions! Thanks!

These come to mind....
Ellis Island (Typical me, didn't read your whole post before commenting.) USO US Marshalls San Francisco Mint (Has Morgan reverse, so you might not like it for that reason since you would already have a Morgan elsewhere in the album) Eisenhower Centennial National Park Service Centennial
I still have the same hole to fill in my 7070. The only commemorative SD I have now is a (my birth year) 1983-S Olympic dollar that was purchased damaged and serves as a pocket piece. Not sure what I will decide to put in that hole. Maybe the NPS dollar when/if the price comes down on the secondary market.

Quote:Is there an ASE that is considered a commemorative ? Probably not that would fit in the Commemorative hole. ASE has its own hole though.

Come on, the 2012 Star Spangled Banner commemorative is perfect for this purpose.

Hm I can definitely see the Star Spangled banner one being exactly themed what I was thinking.. for some reason though just doesn't pop out to me as a super amazing design. Definitely a possibility though. I looked at the others and the only other one I like the look of is the Franklin (Founding Father) silver dollar but then again not as "American" themed exactly. I may have to choose between those two (and also depends on finding any deals). Thanks for the input!

For what it is worth, I have the 1990 Eisenhower Centennial in my 7070.

Perhaps the anniversary or birth date of you or one of your relatives would give it a more personal connection.

A vote for the proof Star Spangled Banner. Of course mine would be a Jefferson.

I would suggest any one of the following:
1. 1987 US Constitution: It's an iconic document that has been a model for constitutions in multiple countries around the world.
2. 1994 US Capitol: The iconic Capitol dome recognized throughout the world as the home of the US Congress.
3. 2012 Star-Spangled Banner: A symbol that is uniquely identified with the US.
