The last is AU 100% my camera didn't catch the luster. I am obviously interested in sending the 2nd 1889 CC out to be graded. The other 2 I will keep.

Love the look of that last coin .. 1889 CC ..
I am thinking it is a easy XF 45. .. with a good shot at low AU.
Edit ... I was slow in typing and did not see the last post.
I forgot to factor in that I am looking at a photo.
I do agree on sending it in .. and has a good shot at AU

I agree the first two coins are VG8. I am going to go with AU 50 on the third coin. There are still hints of mint luster but it is mostly flat-looking. Of course the quality of the strike comes into play here. IF it is just a run-of-the-mill strike it might be a higher grade.

I'll take better pics of the last coin tomorrow. I had my partner and friend think au55/au58. The luster is quite nice on the coin. I did research on it and it seems to match one of the 6 pairs of dies. I just don't know what die pair, as the ANA pics won't load on their website. Stay tuned for more pics tomorrow. The other 89cc is probably VF/f details rim hits 1893 cc probably a Fine. May get net graded to VF due to inconsistent wear. If someone could help me identify the die pair the better 89cc was made from would greatly help. I was gonna bring it to my dealer tomorrow but he's in Colorado all week.

VG08, F12 and EF45/AU50. The second '89-CC is a VAM5 and actually the first is as well. I would like to see the die scratch between the cotton and wheat leaves on that second example and yes, send that in to be graded.

I'd say VG-8, VG-10, and AU-50. Nice pick up!

1) It might make VG-10, but I am thinking Details because of the rim hits. 2) F-12. 3) AU-50.

Well got an email from Michael S Fey one of the authors of the top 100 VAM book and a expert on Morgan dollars. He said it looked genuine on both pieces. I sent him additional pics to show the luster on the coin. I will post the pics I sent him now.

After confirmation from Michael s fey I'm gonna send it out tomorrow via express PCGS and hope it gets between au53-58; which I certainly think it has a very strong shot at doing so.
