I found this at a consignment shop in a display cabinet under a bunch of junk.

Have you guys even seen this or something/anything like it? Would you know who produced it? There are no identifying markings on the card/display as to who may have produced it.

Nice find

I really like it, but unfortunately can offer nothing about its origins. Make sure to check the 1964 for a DDO.

Honest mistake. I know when I hear or see Kennedy half's, I immediately think 1964.

There were a lot of these items developed over the years by various sources. Many of them were sold in gift shops at places related to the subject. Something like this might have been sold at JFK's Presidential Library, a museum, other other location.

When I visited Nixon's library in California years ago they had something similar but with tokens since he had not been on any coin up til then.

Monticello (Jefferson's home) also had similar items including one with nickels and $2 bills. I think I remember something like this at Mount Vernon with Washington quarters and dollar bills.

There are also likely to be a lot more of these at various presidential libraries, birthplaces etc. with Presidential dollars.

Yes, a reasonable and logical explanation. Thanks! I thought it was a bit unusual to see there were no marks/labels on the product which would identify the manufacturer. Bottom-line from where I sit, they were probably mass produced.

Like you say gift shops... Reminds me of the National Park gift shops I've visited over the years and all the junk they sell! Thanks again!

The 2003 "postmark" (57th anniversary celebration or something?) combined with old-timey look makes me think Littleton Coin Company or late night TV. I get a kick out of how Sam Rayburn towers over JFK (6 feet tall) like he's a kid. It's kind of cool for the kitsch factor, but somehow I doubt expending energy on who exactly produced it would add any value.
