My eldest son and his wife just had an 8 lb 15 oz baby girl they named Amethyst. I JUST saw her via Facetime and, of course, she wrapped me around her (very) little finger immediately.

No pics yet - but I thank God Mom, Dad, and the baby are doing well.

My third grandchild, and first granddaughter.

Thanks John1 - already done! All the kids will get their proof ASE birth year coins when they are a little older and can understand and appreciate it! I also am tempted to put together 100 year old sets for them.

Wow mcshilling! Well, I have two married sons so far, a daughter who is courting a wonderful young man - likely married within the next couple years, and another son who also is the right age. So maybe one day I will get there.

Congratulations Earl I have a granddaughter and a grandson that are one of the biggest joys of my life! One of the best things about having grandchildren (unlike raising your own) is that when they start getting on your nerves you can send them back to their parents
Enjoy!
