Considering dipping my toe into my first gold coin. Thoughts on grade and problems on this one? Thanks!

Could be high AU or as high as ms64/65. Really cannot see any luster in pics just surfaces so I won't give my grade til perhaps better pics are posted.

Looks to have full luster across the fields and no wear so mint state. The scratches at the base of Liberty's neck would likely limit the grade to MS-63. Nice type coin!

The resolution of the pics is not good. Almost looks like a cleaning above D. on the reverse. The hit on the bridge of the nose is a minor distraction as are the small nicks at 3:30 obverse. The color, luster and strike are very good. Assuming there's no problems it looks at least 63 and probably 64.

I would pass on this one because the scuffs on and around the date kills the eye appeal for me.

Couple of things I noticed are:

1. There appears to be a scratch underneath the right wing of the eagle. It is well hidden because it follows the outline of the wing, but it is there, albeit in a good place to downplay its prominence.

2. The stars don't look all struck up. The stars in the upper half of the obverse seem well struck but on the bottom half, they look flat.

Still gauging the relative importance of all the things mentioned so far. Thanks for the comments.

Decent luster, but photos aren't sharp. Probably at least MS-63.
