Hi all, I've been away for a few days trying to figure out where to even start. A friend of my mother asked me to look through some things her husband left her. He seems to have been a bit of a hoarder, but in a good way. I'm going to be posting pictures and information using this thread, wasn't exactly sure where on the forums to post it but figured one of the mods might move it to the correct one if I hadn't. I know I don't have 250 posts yet so none of these coins will be for sale at this time, but maybe later on when I am allowed to and I have sorted through it all. From the looks of things he didn't just save a ton of coins, but he sorted most of it into rolls by year, which shou7ld make it easier. At a quick look I saw several hundred rolls of LMC's, about a dozen rolls of IKE's, some really cool rolls of quarters and halves, plus some random bags of older coins like Buffalo nickels and Indian cents. I felt like I was on an episode of American Pickers or something going through this safe, and thought it would be interesting to share what he had collected. I'm going to start with a pic of what caught my eye first, just because it really just made me go "no I didn't just read that". I scribbled out part of the pic cus he had written what might have been what he paid for each roll and I didn't want it to look like these were currently for sale. So yes that was 2 rolls of uncirculated 1946s Washington quarters, and it made me catch my breath. There is also a roll of 1956 Franklins in similar condition, I think he was either investing or just saving them. Anyways, I will try to keep current on this thread with updates and post pictures as I take them and will also have a final list of everything he had in his collection.

Wow. I'm looking forward to seeing the Ikes and buffalos! Take your time with this stuff and savor each little moment of discovery. I bought a collection back in 2014, and it was such a great experience getting to sort through LOTS of old silver coinage.
