It looks to be Elizabeth I, but without the diameter or a better picture of the legends, it is hard to tell what the denomination is.

Crop out the background leaving only the coin in the photo. That would help us identify.

You have 2 different coins in that pic. The newer one is a 5 pence from the Royal coat of Arms, United Kingdom. The older one is too blurry to tell.

The older one doesn't show up in Numista catalogs. There is nothing with the same image (or even close to the same image, as this crown seems "webbed", where as all other crowns depicted on these coins are different than this). It is also interesting that the word "ELIZABET" is missing the H for Elizabeth. May I ask where you got it?

I found the coin a little while ago, been curious since as to what it was exactly. Its pretty battered and hard to make out and I cant see a date. I was hoping someone with expertise would be able to help.

It certainly seems like a counterfeit. I haven't seen anything from the era that the reverse suggests that is missing the "H" in Elizabeth. None of the portraits seem to match up either. Lloydway, can you tell me exactly where you found it, if I'm not overstepping?

@LW, the obv legend on your coin is something like ELIZABET D G ANG FRA ET HIB REGINA and the rev legend is POSVI DEVM ADIVT MEM, both of which are quite close to the legends on a mid-16th Century Shilling. As noted already, the crown seems to be the wrong shape. Looks very questionable to me.

Not seeing any sensible match of the design is not at all necessary to see this is a play money-quality cast replica... c'mon now!
