Not sure what you are looking for in a LSD but this 1847 and the 1849 that you posted
earlier are all there IMO. These choice AU CAC examples are very scarce and there is a
reason they sell for more than similar non stickered coins.

They aren't an annoyance for me. I enjoy grading them. It helps me when I go to buy other coins, and I have more experience grading them.

Steeler72: No need to apologize at all. You are headed in the right direction. I went through the same
learning curve a few years ago and it never ends. A few of the things that have helped me were that
I live in an area that I can attend some major shows and view auction lots as well as walk the bourse
floor. I also belong to a couple of coin clubs where we have a show and tell. It is an extreme advantage
if you have the opportunity to view as many LSD as possible in hand. I realize this is not possible for
everyone.
Check out the major auction houses websites for photos and prices realized. Grading is important but I
would put pricing right up there. You could join the Liberty Seated Collectors club. They specialize in the
Liberty Seated series from Half Dimes through Dollars. They have a set of five hardbound books covering
their early publications from the 70's through the early 2000's just loaded with information. They also have
a website at lsccweb.org where knowledgeable people opine as well. This is a great series and the grading
companies allow more leeway when grading these which just adds to the confusion. Also visit the PCGS
& NGC websites and check out their population reports and then go to caccoin.com and take a look at their
pop reports. It has been my experience that they are very strict on originality. All the best and definetly

Looks solid for AU-53. I'm seeing significant friction in the obverse fields and wear on Liberty's legs that seem grade-limiting.
Very nice eye appeal.
