I used ebay to locate the last 12 dimes I needed. A combination of raw and TPG coins. Waiting for shipment. Now focusing on Indian Head cents.

Nice ,but I'm a little confused why you would complete a set using both raw and slabbed coins , unless you plan on cracking out the slabs .

I buy what I like. In some coin sets, it's safer to buy key dates that are certified by a TPG. So, that's what I do.

For example, I bought TPG certified LWC for the 1909 SVDB, 1914-D and 1922 no D Strong reverse. That was recommended after doing research on acquiring certain key dates.

I do the same thing. For Barber halves I couldn't find raw 1892-S and 1892-O coins I liked for my Dansco set. So I bought NGC slabbed ones at about the same price as the raw.

Nice work @txgolfer56! How 'bout posting a little eye candy for us--maybe your top two or three dimes?

Did you stop at 1964 or did you peruse the proof issues since 1992?

Congrats on completing that set! Will be interested in hearing about your Indian set. I am kicking around starting one of those myself.

Post 1964 is a waste of your collecting budget, unless you like them.

Super Congrats txgolpher!

It's a nice feeling to get the final coins for
a set to come together and be "finished".
Looking forward to seeing your progress in the IHC collection.

Congrats and to CCF!

I just looked at my album and I need 7 to finish my '64 and below set. You've inspired me to do a little shopping on the 'bay today.
