The counterfeit reporting thread has been restricted to invite only, have to get permission to report it there, but go ahead and use the "report this post" and let the mods take it further.

Side note:if anyone is interested, I have the EXTREMELY rare 1980 D "Gaping Mouth Hole Lincoln". First time photographed, ever. Willing to part with the photographs only if the price is right.... Also, if it's more your speed, I have in my collection the coveted 1984 Lincoln Memorial cent that was actually pressed in 1982 that, until now, you have only heard rumors about... Seriously.

Hahaha! That seller is so stupid. I'll report all of the listings for you on ebay. This is why you never always trust these darn crooks on ebay. Warning to all new collecters: Don't fall for this nonsense crap and don't get suckered into it! Edit: I have reported all of the listings to ebay. Let's see what they do.

They are not worth reporting and I'm not sure there is a legitimate reason to do so. Damage is called damage and doubling is called doubling, it just happens to be Machine Doubling. The pics are clear enough... I think their asking prices are ridiculous enough to turn away any legit buyer. A legit buyer would know what "Detail" and "Damage" means and the absence of a DDO designation. If an uber-idiot comes along, then more power to them. I won't stand in the way. What is that saying? Something about money and fools...

I don't see anything actionable in those listings. The closest he gets to anything fraudulent is the statement that doubling on the date and mintmark of the 69 S is rare, it's actually very commonly machine doubled.
The fact that he's asking ridiculously high amounts of money for them is not fraudulent. When you're selling something you can ask whatever price you want. There's no such thing as the price police. Although a lot of people seem to want to set themselves up to be that.

His marketing scheme is just misleading. His listings remind me of those 1 oz 24K gold buffalo coins they sell on TV for $29.95 or what ever the price is. My intent of posting these listings was to help educate the beginner and the young collectors of what to stay away from. I'm sorry you thought I was acting as the price police. A sellers asking price is his business not mine but when there trying to mislead I do have the right to point it out

Guys, I am not convinced that we should be wasted our mental energy fuming about things like this. Just laugh. We have a thread "worst coins on ebay" to post humorous things like this. Whether the person really thinks that it is valuable or whether they are doing this as a joke or trying to fool somebody is beyond our knowledge, and certainly beyond the policies of ebay.
