I have a nice collection of Presidents on medals that you don't see all that often. I only collect my favorites or those that are important historically to me.

I was thinking something about the U.S. buying Alaska off those useless Russians for some ridicules price years ago. I don't know, 7M dollars, which came to 2 cents per. acre! That had to be one of the best deals our country has "EVER" made!!

You're right Butch, I'm sure there were many others. Good thing I'm not a history teacher!

Of course I like it! Quote: Another true patriot who understood the meaning of America. They sure do not make them like they used to. He was an honourable leader who served his country for his entire life.

Not a challenge coin nor a commemorative coin. It's an actual "special Government medal" personally gifted/awarded by President Dwight D. Eisenhower. http://potus-sgm.com/. One can officially call it a "numismatic Presidential artifact".

Wow - I cannot imagine what it would have been like to be given one of these by President Eisenhower himself.
Thanks for sharing these Dr. Darryl. Something like this would have supreme status in my collection if I owned one.

That madals was handed to someone by President Eisenhower himself as Earle42 pointed out! That must have been an amazing moment in someone's life at the time! I shook former President Bill Clintons hand when he was in Napa to promote his pet, I mean wife, in 2007. I even offered him a cigar but he respectfully declined the offer.

My President Trump coin is here! Thanks again to Toot for showing us these.
This is a nice token with a hefty feel to it. I normally don't go for this type of thing, but there are a few exceptions.
