I think Sunoco also used to have a series of antique car tokens they handed out. They were aluminum and featured things showing classics like the 1936 Deusenberg (or at least cars from that era). On the pics I posted recently of my 2016 Trump Halves, a spot can be seen on the gold one. I really was disappointed with it b.c its a definite surface problem due to some contaminant. I mentioned it to the ebay seller, showed them the pic, and they said they would happily send me one without the blemish! You can't beat that. But... now what do I do with the blemished one? I'd hate to waste it by throwing it away. Maybe next time I leave a tip someplace I will leave it on top as a bonus

Thanks USSID - that's the series! I remember getting these when my parents filled the tank. I have some someplace - but nowhere near as nice a condition as Spence's - luster - on ALUMINUM - after so many years?! WOW!

I was being facetious about the mint luster thing. Wonder where it was made. When I was a kid back then, all the junk and trinkets like that were made in Japan. Today it's China!

You guys got me on a roll now that I'm aware of Sunoco I just ordered a really nice Eisenhower that should be here in a week which I'll post as soon as I get it. I'm also looking at several others that I'm considering so there me be more that one posted. @Spence, that Duesenberg Straight 8 is awesome! The Sunoco presidential and car series are really a good looking set. Pretty nice stuff for a gas station give away. @Earle42, I was 5 in 1969 and didn't even know what a token was yet @USSID18, Thank you for helping us with the information that you shared today! It is always appreciated

Very nice Tootallious! I wonder what those numbers (2000 & 9) mean? I should know that. It's probably something simple! I'll try and look it up.

Quote: I wonder what those numbers (2000 & 9) mean? My apologies, I should have included that information. 2000 is the year and 9 is the number coin in a 10 coin series. series. So 9 is the 9th coin of 10 of the Sunoco presidential coins and they came out in the year 2000. Edit: I thought I should also state that Sunoco's presidential series list of the 10 coins is as follows, 1. WILLIAM J.CLINTON 2. GEORGE H. BUSH 3. RONALD W. REAGAN 4. JAMES E. CARTER 5. GERALD R. FORD 6. RICHARD M. NIXON 7. LYNDON B. JOHNSON 8. JOHN F. KENNEDY 9. DWIGHT D. EISENHOWER 10. HARRY S. TRUMAN
