This one is a beauty, abeit not an MS example. Thoughts on this one? Would you rather have an MS example for type? Interesting debate I am sure.

Au55. I would prefer this to a white ms coin.

AU-55 seems about right.
The toning is beautiful but colorful tone on a circulated coin is somewhat concerning. I'd agree with Coinfrog; the coin was likely cleaned long ago and has attractively retoned. I presume it slabbed as problem-free?

Very cool coin, I quite like it.
Although personally I would of course prefer an MS example for the type set, sometimes the sliders have better eye appeal than low MS pieces. Add to that the number of AU examples from this time period that have worked their way into low MS holders, and yeah, a properly graded high AU example would work just fine for me.

I'm prepared to get beat over the head after saying this but, I've never liked "rainbow" toning. That being said, on a Seated quarter, it looks quite nice.
