Possibly a Struck Through Grease quarter but without pictures
no one can say what the error is.

It looks pretty normal to me. All of the details are there. Looks like circulation wear caused the missing details.

I agree with e&v that this quarter has normal wear that has removed some of the details (such as the letter U) in the inscription.

I agree as well, it actually looks like there is a bit of rim damage just under the UNUM that could have caused it. Keep looking - because you never know!

Also this is an ATB (America The Beautiful) series coin. Not the 50 States. I agree, it is probably a Struck Through Grease issue. Again keep in mind on the 50 States quarters and the ATB ones, you will find doubled dies only in the central areas of the coin. Doubled earlobes or the central part of the design on the reverse.

Yep, that's right. Ever since the Single Squeeze Hubbing was introduced, Doubled Dies are now in the center (middle).

Show the obverse as well. I'm suspecting a slightly lower pressure strike. The mounds features are there but they are not fully struck up resulting in concave surfaces away from the edges of the figures.
