1980 D Washington Quarter Error? - Coin Community Forum

Cjacks New Member United States 1 Posts	Posted 07/17/2018 11:17 pm I have found a 1980 d Washington quarter in my till at work the ridge around the quarter is deeper than other coins. The Liberty lettering is partly in the ridge the quarter is larger in the ridge around the coin is thicker than another quarter. Report this Post to the Staff

I do note that the characteristics your describe are sometimes found on so-called Dryer Coins, but we really need to see what you've got before we can speculate as to what happened.
