Sorry, this is a restored coin, how badly does that hurt the value. Bought about 10 and all were restored.i am working on a buff nickel album and bought these to upgrade others in the collection.but I dont want to hurt the overall value.

These would not be a good upgrade in my opinion if they are dipped, scrubbed or restored with vinegar. Those that you are replacing with these "restored Buffalo nickels" are probably worth more if they are still original and uncleaned or unaltered with an acid process. Some people will settle on a doubled die 1916 ( which I don't think is what you have pictured ) or an 1918 over 1917 because the cost of one of those is too much to pay for a less serious collector but in the end, I think you'll regret going this direction. I'll take a G4 original 1913S Ty 2 any day over a 1913S Ty 2 with VF details that was harshly cleaned or acid dated.

Not sure why the "restored" that one. It probably had a full date to start with. It now shows detail of maybe a VF coin so I would assume it was a fine when they started, A Fine would have been maybe an $8 coin. Now "restored" it's maybe $2.50.

It looks like one of the restored buffs that a guy here on the forum does. Can't remember his name but he was pretty good at it.
