I haven't added anything recently to my Chile type set so I treated myself to a 72nd birthday present funded with funds from meager winnings in a family birthday weekend party blackjack game at home. Free moneys. Free coins.

Two of my latest ebay pick ups (at very good prices) These are seller photos. Sets came with all original boxes & COA's. Nicer than pictures show. I got this set at a good enough price I'll keep it. (The last two I bought I had to flip because I needed the cash)

I won this nice looking 1874-A French 5 Francs on ebay tonight. It's a type coin I've wanted to add to my collection. These are the seller's photos.

@Paul Bulgerin - I typically don't collect most foreign, but that is really a beautiful design. Congratulations on winning it.

Thanks. I know France reused this design in the 1970s as a silver 50 franc coin, but this coin, if it turns out to be as nice as the photos show, is 100 years older.

I think this design started back around 1795.
