I personally despise the Franklin half....I think it's the ugliest thing the mint has ever put out there....but the Presidential dollars may soon steal the crown from the Franklin...they're a very close second at this point

Since this is the modern coin forum, I am going to go with the Wyoming quarter.

Okay... I will be quiet now. ToZ, if you have any Franklin half dollars offending you and your collection, you can just send them this way; I will take care of the situation for you!

B. Franklin was an early American genius in many ways, but the Franklin half is...well. Trivia: does anyone know why the eagle is so tiny of that series? It is because B. Franklin hated the eagle as a national symbol. He advocated the turkey as our national bird. It is at least for one day a year!

Perhaps it was because Ben Franklin was SHAPED LIKE A TURKEY ! He was going for the bird that he resembled the most !

My least favorite is the Pres. Dollars, same reverse. They should have made them what that Pres. represented or liked or hated or the kind of underwear he wore. But something different for each Pres.

Least Favorite: Pres and Sacagawea Dollars(look like Chuck E. Cheese Tokens)I bet the tokens are more popular and used more often!! Going to Least Favorite: New obverse nickels are falling off my radar! Soon to be National Park Quarters. Adding to Most Favorite: Pre-2003 Nickels Most Favorite: Mercury and Roosevelt dimes, Walking Liberty (Got to love Adolf Weimann)

As for me I dont like most any of the coins that involve presidents, in other words liberty or other non presidential coins are the best. I like the sac dollar.

I agree with the Chuck-E-Cheeze comment! Washington quarters are a bit ugly to me too (silver excepted!) Hey - at least you Americans have two sides to your coins. Although I like our coinage here in Canada, it sucks that we only have one side (i.e. not the queen / king / current monarch side) to play with!

Oh - almost forgot - that's a sad looking bird on your Barber quarters! Most of your coins are beautiful, however!

I bought some of the new bald eagle coins from the mint, and they are among the ugliest coins I have seen.
That being said, the Walking Liberty design is among my favorite designs.
