Could not sleep the other night and saw This networks Mike M. He was selling the 2019 Proof ASE along with the 2019 ASE bullion. My Question, WHY does the 'big guy ' and the network have 'IN HAND ' these coins Thousands of the proofs, well before the Little Guy's like Myself, can even place an order?........ Months before the U S Mint is going to release them, Really..... Not a Level playing field...............

Are you sure they were genuine coins and not mockups?

I have been collecting since 1963, Trust Me... The Proof was also a West Point minted Proof, and the Unc was a None stamped Bullion coin.....

Did they actually show the date because usually they cover that up and just show the reverse and the ANACS slabs dated for the next year

I don't doubt your experience, but we have seen HSN play tricks involving coins not yet available. For example, in this thread -- http://goccf.com/t/326172 -- they used a dummy ANACS slab and two coins that were apparently not the actual series being offered (reverse from a prior year showing the mint mark being offered).

That's why I asked about mockups, and without seeing a video of what you described, I can't answer your original question (which is the same question prompting that other thread).

They were clearly showing the dates. They even showed the West Point reverse on the proof..... In the same show they were selling the " last of the silver Kennedy's ".
We all know, All the Kennedy half's from 1965 through 1970 are only 40% silver. The slouch beside Mike, after knocking over the display asked are these real silver, to which He stated "YES, SOLID THROUGH TO THE CORE, SOLID 100% SILVER ". We all know that statement was totally false, they are only 40% silver. How they get away with stating the twisted false facts, beyond Me........PS, The dates were also clearly visible too....... I am frustrated that they get coins, fresh off the new dies and We the collectors, like the rest of the 150 million coin collectors in America, get the aftermath.... Not a level playing field, Is that too much to ask...... We should gather all Our resources and purchase the bulk lots too, nothing like true American competition...................

Yup...agree....all you need to know it what you already know. They do not have the coins since they have not been released yet.

...and the Kennedy halves...well you confirmed that falsehood also.

Another potential answer is that they had some not so real ASE's made by one of our Chinese friends and use them for the show..I've got one (2018) and it looks pretty good

I wouldn't get all anti-Mint about it..it's just a show trying to sell something that they will have in a month or so...

If you go to their website you can buy plenty of coins that haven't been issued yet..gold and silver

Not so great BBB rating:

Next time you can't sleep, watch reruns of Star Trek: TNG or something.

An uncirculated 1/4 oz. AGE? Is that back on the schedule? I thought they've not done fractional UNC gold coins for the past many years.

Not trying to be a jerk or demeaning at all but consider this, a major retailer/dealer will buy more in one purchase than collectors will over several years.

The only gold fractional eagles now are of the bullion or proof type and both should be available this year.

Do they make a "W " Marked $10 Gold Eagle in Uncirculated or burnished Finish, I thought I heard about the W marked Unc's, However I only see the "bullion " or mint mark less version ... Thank You

@morgspapa

Well, we'd need a date to answer definitively. Might I respectfully suggest you check your Red Book or the Mint's product page?

In 2018, AGEs were available as such:

UNC (aka "Burnished")
1 oz W

Proof
1/10 oz W
1/4 oz W
1/2 oz W
1 oz W

Bullion - available only from 3rd party bullion dealers
1/10 oz
1/4 oz
1/2 oz
1 oz
