I would like your opinion on the grade and rarity of this type of error for 1997.
Should I send it in for grading or is it a waste of money?
Thank you

That Cud is huge, and rare enough that it's not listed on cuds-on-coins.com. First I would ask JC Stevens to list it on the website so it gets a listing number. After that, I probably wouldn't get it graded just for the grade, but ANACS might be willing to put "discovery pc" on the label which would be worth it.

That is an amazing find and perhaps big enough that sending it in for slabbing would be worth it.

Definitely should make the Top Ten list for Cuds of the year. If listed as a new discovery, should add frosting to the cake. Thanks, Doug.

Contacted ANACS and they would not give "discovery pc" designation.
He said that they might give it a "first find" designation.
as long as I provide registry proof.
What would be a good form of proof?

I would think the posting by JC Stevens and the email correspondence would be enough.
