Aside from the rare, six figure types, I thought I'd pose a different topic on the subject of dream coins. So, assuming it be one you could afford, what would it be? Mine would be an 1871cc Seated Liberty dime at the moment. Although the '72cc is in the same price range the former seems tougher to find. And sticking to the subject, the 1874cc would not count. Anyhow, hopefully I can find a nice VG10 in the $5,000 price range. ANA member - PAN Member - BCCS Member There are no problems only solutions - the late, great John Lennon

Mine might be cliche. Ever since I was a kid there was that 1909-S VDB hole in my album. Remember dreaming with my friend and fellow collector back then. I am just now in the process of saving up for it. Edit: Great idea for a thread

I need a 1916 D Mercury dime. Any grade about AU would work.

Quote: Ever since I was a kid there was that 1909-S VDB hole in my album Yup. It will happen eventually. Quote:I need a 1916 D Mercury dime. Same here. Like above, eventually. I do have lower standards on grade though.

Quote: 1915 S Pan Pacific commemorative half I'll second that... At least it's ONE of my must haves.

St Gaudens Double Eagle. Although common, I just had to have an example.
Best design for a gold coin. Ever. Over the whole history of Numismatics.
My avatar is second on my 'must have' list.

For me it would be the 1895-O Barber dime. It's on my list (albeit in a low grade), but it'll be one I'll have to save up for. One day...

I bought two this year at coin shows, that I never thought I'd own, a 1874 double eagle & a 1798 silver dollar.
