Hello again! It's been a long time since I posted anything here so this is my test post. It's a nice looking coin with several errors to look at. Enjoy! ANA ID: 3203813 - CONECA ID: N-5637 Clean a coin that may be worth collecting? Please DON'T! When in doubt, leave it dirty!!

Thanks! I'll be posting more soon. This was a coin I bought from an estate sale in Denton, Texas. The guy was an everything collector. We bought artwork, coins, games and some Texas memorabilia. I got a nice group of errors that didn't cost me too much. I bought 3 like this one with the best coin of the group in an ANACS slab. All 3 were broken reeding errors, two like this and the third was struck through a small section that was missing. I only learned this week that a coin that has reeding and is broadstruck has to be multi-struck as well. Once I thought about it, it makes sense.

Glad you are back Yokozuna! Missed your insightful posts. Why don't I hear about these sales near me? Denton isn't that far about a half hour drive (if it's not rush hour)!

Fantastic error! I've never seen one like that before. It's always a head-scratcher how an error that stunning could escape the mint.

Are there reeds on the outside edge of the coin? If it it maybe double struck. Note the reverse letters above the other letters on USA.

Nice pick-up, although I would be super-concerned that the thin scrap of rim could break off. Since you didn't send this one in, I take it you won't be slabbing it. How do you plan to safely store it?

Put it in a nickel or quarter 2X2 to show that it is still there.

The "broken reeding" is a partially detached Rim Fin.
