To my surprise, I found a 1979 S Susan B Anthony dollar Coin in a roll. It stuck out like a sore thumb. I thought I hit "the one" but I am so grateful nevertheless.

What's your question exactly about it? Is there an error or variety? If not, then it would be in the incorrect forum.

The biggest reason they were so unpopular were the fact it was often taken as a quarter, rather than a dollar. The sizes were very close in size. Thus the gold color coins are much more popular. You often get these in change in a parking garages. But so far they are not used that much.

One thing about the business strike 1979 S SBA though, is it could not be found in a mint set like the P & D. If you were making a set, you had to get one the hard way, like you did. It is the only one of the series you had to find on your own.
