MS65 maybe MS66 lots of luster, but quite a few hairline scratches on the reverse.

Nice coin!

Solid average strike, with no reason to adjust the technical grade. The obverse is beautiful, with only a couple very small contact marks. I think the obverse carries a rock solid MS-66 and could possibly go MS-67. The reverse has more contact marks, with small rim dings at 11, 4, and 7 o'clock and four contact marks in the visual center of the buffalo's flank. An "X" shaped scratch is on the buffalo's front shoulder. In an earlier day, PCGS would have easily given the reverse an MS-65, but I'm seeing more and more MS-64 grades with small visible reverse contact marks. Either way, I see PCGS giving a blended MS-65 here. I'd see this one as old school Gem BU, without hesitation. This is one I could see NGC rounding up, rather than down.

It's a really nice coin, and would make Buff collectors drool. Thanks for sharing it with us!
