Hi all!! I'm just sharing my newest find. I'm almost sure that its a woody but theres a slight chance it could be toning. I'm so in love with this coin! Ive had several offers from people that want to buy it but I have no clue what itd even be worth. Do yall think itd be worth grading? Imo,it is but I'm not sure.

That is great! Some kind of metal alloy thing going on. Not toning in my opinion. Not worth grading unless the TPG'er can put the actual description of what this coin is on the label.
Rest in Peace

That is one weird coin.

If it is an alloy problem, that's definitely one of the most extreme toning I've ever seen.

I can't think of a way that could happen otherwise.

Hopefully Coop or E&V will chime in.

No opinion,(leaning towards woodie) just wondering why the very black parts don't extend to and around the rim/edge.
I'd like to hear from BadThad or KenKat....

I personally don't believe this to be a true woody, I believe, some sort of cleaning agent has been used, or brushed on the coin to create the illusion, of a woody.

Like I said, some kind of metal alloy mix problem/issue.

Not a scientific video but you get the point.

Looks like a tie-dye job someone tried to do.
I know someone that does arts and craft who gets this effect on metal furniture.
She first crumples and wraps the metal parts with a certain type of fabric, then dips it in hydrogen sulfide to get the tie-dye look.
