Quote: I was on the other side of the fence most of my life. NOT selling or selling right away. I highly recommend to all collectors to do at least a little selling from time to time or at the very least a few times to see what it's like. It's a good learning experience and can give a new perspective on what they're seeing in the market

Morgan's dad .... congrats .... nice profit... Mine was sitting here ..in the shipping box .. for the last couple days. Put it on ebay this morning for "Buy it now" $1250.00. Sold in 20 minutes. Guess I should have asked a little more ... But I am happy. After buying the coin, ebay fees, PayPal fees and shipping to buyer, cleared about $1000.00

For NGC submitting: -where do you select COA encapsulation? - I didn't see the SF trolley label listed. Should I just write it on the line next to Special label or Label name?

After speaking again with my LCS I did use them to grade. The $150 I was told earlier was worst case scenario including gold shield, COA encapsulation, first strike, return OGP, and shipping each direction. They have it now and I'll cross my fingers that it was something special.
I live in Vegas and took a gamble on slabbing this coin. I figure worst case I'm into the coin for about 200 and figure I should be able to sell it for that or more no problem, but do plan to keep it for myself.

GR58, I am happy for you, You too did well...... I wish you and all the other's well. I have been tracking the sales and figured, I have seen in other releases that early on is and could be a very profitable path. Again, I was NOT thinking about selling this coin, I was Very Surprised AFTER multiple on line attempts to buy the coin, I got as far as the final page, clicked on it and it said, OOOOPPPP'S there was a problem. I was very upset, knowing I did not, or thinking I did not obtain a coin. I later checked my spam box and to My surprise, there were the two emails, We received your order and This is your confirmation messages, I WAS ELATED!!! I collect Things from childhood that other people consider garbage. I am re-thinking my collections. I have completed collections from WAY back that while I enjoy holding and seeing, I almost feel, some of it should be enjoyed by a new ward, by another up and coming collector that might not even of seen these things. The job or pleasure of keeping things in Our charge, at times still brings over-whelming joy and a very nice feeling of accomplishment. Certain portions of my collections are being thought about hard, the currency collections alone are quite the sights..... We all collect for differing reasons, I do so, because I can and while I get joy just going to one of the safety boxes and pull out folders and bring home to just go over, PRICELESS..........PS, Then I received an email from Our oldest Son, An invoice from the Mint, Enjoy your 19EX DAD.. ....WOW....

My coin was waiting for me in my mail box when I got home today. It will join the other ASE's in my safe. It is nice to have this key addition to the set.

RE; Why so few First Strike's That "regular label" includes MANY labels with most from the Baltimore SHow on day one. First Strike's were (are) sent in obviously after they slowly make their way to the collector...thus the low number. Mine haven't even been shipped for grading yet since I am still waiting for one...here is the breakdown (424 total graded) Re: NGC submission of the ERP...I bookmarked this from NGC: https://www.NGCcoin.com/news/articl...ilver-Eagle/

@WYZEGUY, You must write encapsulate COA and COA# on Label on the actual sheets your submitting. As well you want Label #854 San Francisco Trolley and must write that in the label space.

It appears based on the figures that Foxwood posted that the odds of getting a 70 are about 60%. I'm thinking that there will be quite a few people who will eventually find out that they paid too much for their 70's.

While this does appear so Bret, how many dealers agreed to slab a 69? Unless we know the total population that was submitted, it's not an accurate figure. But yes, it does "appear" the population of 70s will be high, and considering it is a proof, I am not surprised

Look at Pinehurst Coins and you will be amazed how many dealer 69's there are and a bunch have already been sold
MCM was exclusively 69's with 70 prices available by phone
I think the cert# thing has more being actually given a grade rather than the normal "slab only 70"S" thing
