I wasn't sure where to post this. I thought there was a mention of this Moonlight Mint product previously on CCF but couldn't find the thread. Moderators, please move the post if it belongs elsewhere.

This is such a beautiful coin, completely faithful to the original design but greatly exceeding it in execution. My genuine 1921 high-relief Peace dollars don't even come close. Not sure the $100 cost will prove to be a good investment but it was nevertheless money well spent.

Beauty.

I've been working on a Depression-Era UNC coin set for some time (not much accomplished in recent days since my interests have moved away from circulating U.S. coins) and this would fit in very well in a group such as that. Problem is, coins of that era are already very expensive when factored into my meager budget. This one is, I'm sure, also not cheap.

You should be fine at that price. Most of them have held their price or a slight gain. The only one that's struggling is the 1917 as the issue price was really high on that one at $175

Baseball are these collectible? I wouldn't mind getting one if they are.

In general yes they are. There's a good history on ebay for them and Great Collections has sold quite a few of his offerings (some of the broken sword examples are finalizing on Sunday). The over strikes generally do pretty well and a number have gained value over issue price. The 1917 is kind of so so just because the issue price was so high but you can look around and see that they are fairly popular. It's certainly up to you for the price that you are comfortable with from the history, but if you enjoy them it isn't something I would shy away from.
