Hello,
I believe that the reverse side of this coin has been printed several times on the same side.

Can you please give me your opinion?

Thank you very much!

to the CCF!

I'm just seeing circulation damage and maybe a slightly weak strike from a Grease Filled Die. Some of the marks do look like letters, but not like a multi-struck coin. The alloy mix may account for the lines running at a diagonal.

What does the obverse look like?

When I enlarge and enhance your current pics, I don't see doubling. Maybe you can please add a close-up of the affected region? Thx.

This is a 1974 Jefferson nickel that's double struck in the collar. I think you would see more flattened details in some areas on your coin if it were multi-struck.

It may very well be from Die Deterioration.

Die polishing reduces the devices and they dies have a lot of age on them. So even fresh out the roll it was probably not deemed a collector piece.

Hi, anthon1984.

I think, anthon1984 might be referring to a possible die clash. 'Coz, as a newbie, referring to myself, just by looking at the coin, I would think as a newbie that the coin has die clash, which anthon1984 referred to as 'retyping'. Anthon1984 might be nearsighted...which can be an asset and a liability depending on how one uses it.

On the second picture of the coin, below the 'IBU' of PLURIBUS is there a possibility of a lamination issues? The coin has striation issues, too. What kind of error can cause striation?

Thanks.

Die clashes tend to be more in the central areas of the strike because the die is not flat, but conical in shape in the central area.
