I won this in an auction last week.
It just arrived yesterday.
Any thoughts on the grade?

I'll say AU-58, likely dipped if not cleaned.

I would call it AU-55. Obverse fields no luster left.

AU55. The lighting is too strong -- notice how the "tabs" inside the holder seem to merge with the background at the bottom.

I re-processed your images (if you mind, please let me know and I will delete) and this is with the levels more balanced, although it still may be a bit of excessive contrast.

Paralyse, your pictures are much better than the ones I have and more closely resemble the coin surfaces. It actually has a reasonable amount of luster remaining, which s not at all obvious in the pictures that I posted. I took a chance on this one and now that I have it in hand, I am VERY pleased with how it looks. I'll try to get some better pictures out here in the next day or so.

It's in a PCGS slab graded AU55. It is not labeled Cleaned. It's really a very nice coin and I've tried to get a decent picture but without much success so far. I'll try again and post something if I'm successful.
