My first post here. I found this dime in a roll of pennies years ago when I was searching boxes of one cent coins up here in Canada before the penny was taken out of circulation. I put the coin away and just now researching it again. The back has been appears to have been punched with the wrong die. Thanks in advance if someone can explain.

to CCF. Looks like a normal dime with environmental damage. Maybe a metal detector find.

First welcome to CCF. Second, can you explain in more detail what you mean? From your pics, this coin has surface staining as mentioned by @john1, but the strike looks normal.

Yes, tell us more. I don't see anything unusual here except a dime with ED.

Not sure how you can say that dime is uncirculated.
The reverse except for environmental damage looks normal.
Exactly what do you see?

Looks normal to me as well, just heavy environmental damage.

Note the obverse rim at 1:00? You can see the red color starting to wear off the coin and the silver color starting to come through. I time it will eventually turn normal again. Just a normal coin that spent some time outdoors.
