I have A Roosevelt dime that weighs the same as a normal Roosevelt (2.28 grams). Much thinner than a dime and the diameter of a Lincoln Cent. It appears also to be some kind of double strike as you can see IN GOD WE TRUST around the outside like on a Lincoln Cent but backwards, On the other side it has raised odd shaped ridges like the die broke. I tried to post pictures but I can not get the pictures small enough to fly. Thinking about sending to a third party grader, what do you all say?
Thanks, Kerry

Hi Kerry, we really really need

It sounds like your coin may have been "squeezed" against a Lincoln Cent if you can see the image of the penny backwards. Perhaps a vise? It does not sound like it's a mint error, so save your money and skip the 3rd party grader.

If you are on the "full reply" here now, at the bottom of the text box is a link to a "Free Image Optimizer" that makes it pretty easy to resize your image so our system can handle it. Again, it's really difficult to advise you without photos. Please try this suggestion.

to the CCF! Happy Easter!

Extremely unlikely that it is a mint error, but pictures are needed to be sure.

Sounds like a vise squeezed dime with the cent being the oppressor. (pun intended) With the devices mirrored was all I needed to hear. Altered coin, spendable.
