Strange Roosevelt Dime The Size Of A Lincoln Cent

Agent47 New Member United States 1 Posts	Posted 04/12/2020 03:20 am I have A Roosevelt dime that weighs the same as a normal Roosevelt (2.28 grams). Much thinner than a dime and the diameter of a Lincoln Cent. It appears also to be some kind of double strike as you can see IN GOD WE TRUST around the outside like on a Lincoln Cent but backwards, On the other side it has raised odd shaped ridges like the die broke. I tried to post pictures but I can not get the pictures small enough to fly. Thinking about sending to a third party grader, what do you all say? Thanks, Kerry Report this Post to the Staff

merclover Bedrock of the Community United States 10635 Posts	Posted 04/12/2020 03:36 am Hi Kerry, we really really need It sounds like your coin may have been "squeezed" against a Lincoln Cent if you can see the image of the penny backwards. Perhaps a vise? It does not sound like it's a mint error, so save your money and skip the 3rd party grader. If you are on the "full reply" here now, at the bottom of the text box is a link to a "Free Image Optimizer" that makes it pretty easy to resize your image so our system can handle it.
