In 1997 a family friend gifted me with a nice circulated 1875-S Twenty Cent Piece. Unfortunately it was stolen in 2010. Eventually, as a working man, I eventually bought a nicer one (in a PCGS slab). This one has some nice toning, but the front has no cartwheel luster. The back has some cartwheel luster, though. I chose it for the color :). I am curious how some of you would grade this.

Very nice coin, looks original and very attractive. The strike is pretty solid, with just a touch of weakness on Liberty's head and the eagle talon.
I don't see any wear. I'd venture MS-62, with grade limited by the lack of luster.

GrapeCollects: Oh no! I am sorry. This coin was pretty irresistible as a type coin to represent this short-lived and bizarre denomination. I recently missed out on a beautiful blue and gold-toned 1848-O Seated Liberty half dollar.

You would think that the scratches in the right obverse field would really hurt this, but I'm guessing eye appeal will triumph and it gets MS-64+.

Lovely and original looking piece.
I also don't see any wear, and knowing that the obverse has muted luster will join the MS-62 camp.
Very nice.

comparing it to others I see this at a solid MS62, the eagle is beautiful.
