had a gold and silver in my cart but gold was already gone during the checkout process; got a silver USM081171xx at 12:19PM. Good luck to everyone!

Without a doubt the WORST U.S. Mint site experience I've ever had - and I've had a LOT of bad ones. Still trying. Might give up and go to lunch.

I am looking at ebay sold listings for gold and silver and I wonder how many of those are legitimate at those crazy high stupid prices. $600 silver and $8K gold, really? I don't buy it. |

The mint site needs a completely new system
and most importantly not to release limited items at the same time to off set server load
what a mess

had to download firefox during this whole mess just to check out with silver. Chrome wasn't working for me at all

I have tried both browsers. I am also remote controlling a PC at the office. No luck anywhere.

As expected website failure. Failed to get gold but got silver after multiple website stops and starts. Confirmed checkout at 9:41 even though I had it in cart for 20 min before able to complete transaction.

I went in at 12 noon with expectations of a total fiasco. I was not let down!
Took me about 35 minutes to finally get the order completed and get a confirmation number. As expected there were plenty of errors early on. They seemed to smooth out as I got nearer to the finish line. Finally got it to go thru and get the confirmation number back.
Just hope I don't get an " oops, we made a mistake and have to cancel your order" email from the mint in the next couple of days.
What an ordeal!
