But these are collectible. These are low mintage coins. It was mentioned back in the day, that there was a small amount of 1950-D nickels. So a lot of BU rolls and coins were saved. But still a smaller number struck that year. So save them.
With a mintage of 2.6 million there would have most likely have been 8 or 9 reverse dies used, and since the mintmarks were punched by hand, 8 or 9 slightly different positions of the mintmark.
