What are the current turnaround times for standard grading for NGC and PCGS? Also CAC turnaround times. Thank you.

I don't know, I only use ANACS... About 6 weeks.

PCGS and NGC are all over. CAC is 7-10 days.

My Mayflower gold was received by NGC 12/7 and just moved to grading / quality control.

Right now I would expect them to be much longer than normal. The services are being inundated right now with green monster boxes of ASE's |

I've got an "express" submission with NGC that was supposed to take 5 days. They've had it for 2 weeks and it still hasn't shipped.

COVID-19 has hammered the USPS. And probably did much the same to the TPG's. Best you can do is sit back and wait. |

I'd imagine (some) staff at the mainstream grading outfits are under some form of nondisclosure agreements. Would be interesting to get some insider takes on life in a TPG shop. Could be fodder for a reality TV/streaming show. |

I was just informed by NGC, they are opening mail (submissions) today which were delivered on April 9th and 10th. That's how far backed-up they are. How the heck they can do that and properly manage their stated turnaround times, I have no idea.

It doesn't help that there were 23 Eagle/Morgan/Peace offerings this year.

I dropped off some coins for PCGS grading at my local coin shop today. They estimated 6 to 8 weeks turnaround. They send lots of coins in so maybe that's accurate.
