Hi,
I was wondering if anyone might know what would cause this extra wrinkle in the middle of his face, it doesn't look like damage after the strike...thank you.

A fair question to be asked in this case.
Perhaps there are better opinions than mine in this case, but
I think it is a struck through plastic thread or similar, but also,
I cannot dismiss the possibility of post mint impact damage.

It might be a coin rim pressed into the coin? (damaged)

@yte, can you please post a pic of the rev? I'm interested to see if there is any corresponding flattening there. Thx.

Here is the reverse, I can't see anything there...if so it would show on the torch somewhere, but thanks

But if it were raised, we probably wouldn't see it as it would be opposite of the torch:

@Coop...I guess that's what I meant, that the torch was where the impression was on the obverse. If it wasn't, what would it tell you had it been visible on the reverse? I have many coins I have questions about, if CCF is not the place to get answers, just let me know and I will stop being a pest...you have been so kind.

If it were in a different direction, we might/may not have seen an affect on the reverse.
