Hi,

I found this penny and it looks like it has a die crack to me. Would just like to see if I am correct or not. It isn't major, so not thinking it is too valuable, but would you think it is worth more than a cent?

Thanks for your thoughts!

Certainly looks like a crack! Maybe even slightly MAD. For values, check ebay's SOLD listings. Good eye!

Nice pics. I don't have a clue, but if in doubt into a coin roll it goes.

Agreed on both counts. I'd hold onto this one.

To the seasoned collector, they are common. To the new collector, they are gold. But as your interest and number of coins grow, they are less interesting. Not something to buy, that's for sure. You'll see as you advance in knowledge.

Alright! I finally found something. Thanks for all the responses. And, yes, I suppose if I start finding double dies, the small die crack/MAD might not be quite as exciting... but 'til then, I'm pretty stoked! Thanks again all! Very much appreciated.

I found an obverse Wheat cent once that had 9 die cracks on the obverse:
