At first glance, this appears to be a standard US uncirculated mint set, not a designated Special Mint Set.

It's a generic 1964 mint set. Not an SMS set or anything unusually special.

It is half of a 1964 US Mint Set. Not SMS. The plastic disc in there says Uncirculated Coins from the Philadelphia Mint. The other half includes the Denver issues.

cannot argue with what is on the plastic token. The penny looks as if it was just one struck from fairly new dies.

As someone who has actually handled a genuine 64 SMS Cent, this is not one. But the greatest thing is everyone is entitled to waste their money. In fact, I'll wager $5000 that you don't have an SMS set. Here in writing. If this comes back as an SMS set I'll give you $5000.

Greysheet has the bid value of a 1964 Mint Set this month at $34. Ask would be $37.40. Not sure if that info is helpful here.

Stay well,
