These things are STILL out there! I just found this about 45 minutes ago in a $25 box of bank wrapped Lincolns (after shaking uncontrollably...lol) and couldn't be happier. Been trying to figure out which one it is due to the numerous varieties of this year but I think I narrowed it down to the DDO-004 (listed by all major sources if I am correct in saying this) simply due to the W in WE. Can't see any die markers but the doubling looks to be a match with 004 after looking at all of the details of the doubling on the devices on the numerous listed varieties. Please give some input. This Linc has definitely been rode hard over the years and seen some pockets but NOW..... it's mine!!!!! This is my second HIGHLY sought after find in the wild, after my 1982 DDO-002 I posted a month or so back, and I can't believe I just found one!!!!! (Can you tell I'm a little excited)!!

Well, it's not 004. Try again. Look at the '2''. There's a clue there.

Amazing! Congrats on finding a solid example of a strong doubled die! There can only be more to be found from here. I agree it looks like 002 or 007. Again, congrats!

Nice find, A close up of LIBERTY would be helpful.

Just a little image I made comparing all 3, I spent about 45 minutes lookin at the 02/07 lookin for differences. 1972-Variety-Of-Some-Sort.: the bottom of the R in trust is a dead giveaway that this is a 02. The last T was also a big difference, but the pic cropped it out. Circled other minor differences too.

My only 1972 DDO I ever found was years ago found in my dads pocket change. It turned out to be a ddo-#3.
