Hello again I hope I'm not becoming a pain in everyone's butt. I just like to share what I have come across on my new adventure in coin collecting. So here I go, I thought this might be something cool to post. A 1975 penny where Lincoln looks to have a bulldog bottom lip. That's where his beard is sapose to be. If you can and I did was look deep into its beard location and maybe it's just me but I thought I could see a jaw with teeth. Laugh if you want. Its ok.

@dhadd, the primary goal of this website is education, so you should always feel comfortable asking numismatic questions. From this one pic, it is a little hard to see what is going on, but I suspect that the coin took a hit. If you can post overall pics of the front and the back, I suspect that we will see more evidence of the damage which took out part of Abe's jaw.

We'll need clear pictures of the whole coin to assess it, but I suspect it's damage. Keep it as a novelty if it looks cool.

A damaged coin is usually a face value you. So if you see an incuse mark in a coin, 99% of the time, it is damage. Only 1% is it collectable. Then it is not damage, but something that occurred at the mint. If it happened in someones garage, it is not a mint error.
