Just because it is a 1971-D RDV-006 Friendly Eagle variety. and was thinking someone might want to see one. And possibly make some sort of comment on it.

Hi Stewart, where can I find reference pictures for the IKE die Varieties?

I don't know any of them except for the Type 1 & Type 2 1976

the last 1 in the date looks doubled to me..and possibly the N in IN..Maybe a DDO?

Yes there is some doubling on it but I think it is just Machine Doubling or ejection doubling because it more of a flat shelf than
a rounded strike. still studying the piece. Good Eye

Sorry this post got moved from the Errors and Variety part of the forum guys (not sure why) this 1971-D RDV-006 Friendly Eagle variety
was gotten on e-bay and am looking for any comments on the coin.
Just wanted to share a cool coin variety. Also one of my better pictures I have been able to take of coins. Still learning how
to photograph them.

Can you post a close pic of the last 1. It doesn't look like ejection to me. I have a few ejection coins and yours looks like it has notching also..

This is close as I can get with the equipment I have at the time.
Holding a Loupe over the end of my camera by hand. I am building a stand but it is not quite ready.
