Not my coin, but thought it would make for a really good grading challenge here. I have always thought this is a pretty tough coin series to grade. Let's see if this one is as tough for you to grade as it was for me. I'll post the photo of the slab on Wednesday. "Buy the Book Before You Buy the Coin" - Aaron R. i see no signs of circulation on this coin. I have it at MS60 due to the lack of luster

Lovely coin. I'll take a guess with AU-55 obverse, AU-50 reverse - net AU-53.

Tough one. Not seeing any signs of circulation either, relatively few contact marks, but luster is definitely subdued. My first thought was was AU58-MS62, leaning towards MS, but I wouldn't pay MS prices. That being said I've seen worse in MS63 slabs.
A hesitant MS62 final answer.

Virtually no wear, but no luster either. I'd go with an uncommon MS-61.

What is going on with the obverse and reverse fields? Maybe some cleaning?

TPG grade EF-40 at the very lowest, AU-58 at the highest. My grade would be choice EF-45.

I am at 58 and my guess is PCGS put it at MS62/63. I would not be a buyer for the coin in MS grade with no luster. Nice coin.

Another tough one, after seeing the results of those last 4 you posted, photos got me thinking AU-55/58 but that reverse looks MS minus the lack of luster..... ...Put this beginner down for PCGS labeling it at MS-63

Very slight signs of wear, sharp detail throughout, great original surfaces, no sign of cleaning or abuse. I have to think there is significant remaining luster that is not apparent in the photos. I'm at AU-58.

I'm going to guess AU-50 on this one. Can't wait to see what it graded.

AU-58 to me. I'll guess PCGS graded it at MS-60.
