Jeremy77, your photo is too pixelated to see detail on your coin, that's why we ask not to use monitor screen shots. Try photographing your coin direct with your camera. Even older phones with cameras can zoom in 5 or 6X. Please try again so we can help you.

@jer, yes a little better, although these pics seem to have vertical light streaks. On your coin, it looks to me like the doubling is DDD.

Thank you so much. I think it is double plating, but I haven't ever heard of that. I think I have a few coins like that, so it seems like it might be pretty common, am I right?

Yes you're right...split plate "doubling" ruins many zincolns

Jeremy, I am trying to figure out why there seem to be vertical light streaks radiating from your coin photos. I want to help you figure this out for future posts. Are you holding these coins against glass maybe? Or maybe your lighting source is exactly bouncing the lights from the surface of your coins? Let's try to solve your shininess issue first, then your coins, ok?
